THE RIO GRANDE & RIO COSTILLA
The Rio Grande, the second longest river in the United States, heads in the high mountains between Creede and Silverton. Brown trout swim the Rio Grande in incredible numbers, and fish are found everywhere.
The Rio Costilla is a private ranch in Taos County in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range (the Spanish word meaning "Blood of Christ") offering a variety of fishing experiences including high mountain lakes. These waters will grow you as an angler and offer some breath-taking views of God's creation.

Altar Fly Fishing was founded as a means to bring healing, refreshment, and long-term impact in the lives of leaders with a special heart for pastors. It is Altar’s mission to invest into pastors, like you, who are investing so much of their time, energy and resources into others. The problem? Many pastors do not have the time or resources to invest in themselves or their future leadership which is leading to personal suffering from burnout and unhealthy souls. I (Eric Camfield - Altar Founder) was in that very place years back which is why I made significant changes in my own life and started Altar Fly Fishing’s various ministries.
The Altar team will work with you, your congregation and your personal community to help support this much needed time for rest and personal renewal.
