YELLOW CREEK

Yellow Creek is a tributary of the Raystown Branch of the Junita River. The Creek begins near Woodbury and flows into the Raystown Branch close to Hopewell. Above Loysburg, Yellow Creek flows through beautiful open meadows and pastures and includes several miles of Class A Wild Trout. Downstream, Yellow Creek flows through Loysburg Gap.

The creek has large boulders and deep pools. Near Loysburg Gap, there are fast riffles and pocket water that make this a great area for sneaky trout to hide.
Whether you are a rookie taking on your first Pennsylvania limestone spring creek or a seasoned angler looking for a challenge, you are sure to have a memorable experience at Yellow Creek.

Accommodations

4 nights/3 days lodging at Brownie's Mill in Woodbury, PA. Nestled in Pennsylvania's beautiful Pocono Mountains, this historic grist mill and surrounding rustic countryside will be the setting for our retreat. Enjoy delicious meals crafted by our in-house chef including hearty breakfasts, great lunches on the stream, and delicious home-cooked dinners around the table together.

The Retreat

An Altar retreat is a unique blend of rest, intentionality and adventure. You will engage retreat materials, take part in teaching sessions with Altar's team, enjoy great conversations and return to your 'home waters' equipped for the next season ahead.

The Fishing

Your retreat includes 3 days of fishing one of Pennsylvania's classic limestone spring creeks - Yellow Creek. Guiding us along this dynamic stretch of water, world-renown angler and U.S. Junior Team coach Josh Miller will provide stream-side instruction for anglers of all levels. All gear (as needed) and guide fees are included. All skill levels are welcome!

Booking Details

- The cost of your retreat is $1,250
- A 50% Deposit at the time of registration reserves your spot.
- Your balance is due 30 days prior to the start of your retreat.
- Guests are responsible for travel arrangements and expenses to and from the lodge.
