Altar exists to nurture the inner lives of leaders—creating space for rest, clarity, and renewed purpose through guided retreats rooted in Scripture, reflection, and the beauty of the outdoors.
Over the past several years, we’ve watched leaders step away from the noise of life and leadership—and return home changed. But we’ve also felt the limitations of not having a place of our own.
The Vision
We believe God is inviting us to establish a permanent home for Altar.
A place where:
• Leaders can step away and be restored
• Rhythms of rest, reflection, and renewal can take root
• Transformation can happen again and again, year after year
This is more than a property.
It is a space set apart for the work God is already doing through Altar.
Where We Are Today
We have officially taken our first step—closing on property in Tennessee.
We’ve walked the land.
Prayed over it.
Beginning to imagine the stories that will unfold in the years to come.
And yet—this is just the beginning.
The Opportunity
We have been given a $500,000 matching gift.
To unlock it, we must raise $500,000 by late summer.
Every dollar given during this time will be doubled—accelerating the development of the Altar Lodge and expanding our ability to serve leaders.
Why It Matters
Leaders are carrying more than ever.
Without intentional space to pause, reflect, and be restored, the cost is high—personally, relationally, and spiritually.
Altar retreats are not the solution.
They are the beginning.
